"There's something between us all. Something that keeps us together... Like...invisible ties, connecting us. Giving us strength... WE forged these ties. WE strengthen them. If we preserve them, or break them, it will be by our choices, not some "destiny"..."– Robin to Chrom (Chapter 14: Flames on the Blue)
About the site.
Invisible Ties is a fanlisting for the video game Fire Emblem: Awakening (Kakusei) for the Nintendo 3DS handheld gaming system. This fanlisting is listed at The Fanlistings Network under Games » Computer, Console, & Video Games. The fanlisting was approved in March 2013 and was opened on March 4, 2013.
After the obsession set in with Fire Emblem: Awakening I knew I had to apply for some related fanlistings. I'm bummed I was only approved for the game fanlisting, but at least I was approved for something. That has to count for something, right? Plus the rejection motivated me to create some shrines so honestly I have no right to be complaining. To say I was excited for the approval was a bit of an understatement. I had to keep myself from making a scene in front of my parents because I was so friggin excited and they wouldn't be able to understand why, haha. Words cannot express how I'm feeling to be able to run this fanlisting for one of my favorite games ever! ♥
The name Invisible Ties should be pretty self-explanatory if you've read the quote at the top. It is a name I feel fits the series as a whole, but I feel it has more significance to Fire Emblem: Awakening. It is the first game in the series where you are not limited in how many supports a unit can have with another, instead only being limited by who can support with who, but more than that bonds of friendship play a bigger role in the story of the game I think. It's wonderful, really. Unfortunately I can't say any more than that without going into spoiler territory, but I think the meaning behind the words is incredible.
Currently we are on version 2 of the site which features Chrom and Robin. It is a little different from what I usually do for layouts, and was a bit of a pain to put together, but I'm happy with how it turned out. The layout was made by me using Adobe Photoshop 7.0 and then coded by hand using Notepad. The image used was found at Serenes Forest. No patterns were used this time! Fonts used are called Arial and Century Gothic. Previous layouts used may be found at my layout archive.
