Roster Profile: A daughter of farmers from a small village in Nohr. Lacks confidence, but tries her best to help those around her. Overwhelmed to be near royalty all the time. Has the best survival skills in the army. Born on 10/6.
Mozu is an optional character in Fire Emblem Fates from a small village in Hoshido (which is incorrectly stated as Nohr in her roster profile) which had been completely destroyed by Faceless and its people killed, along with Mozu's mother. Mozu was the only survivor. Mozu appears in Paralogue 1: Tragic Start, which is immediately available to play after you choose a path and she can be recruited in all three paths. Mozu can be recruited by having Corrin/Avatar speak to her. Mozu will be level one to start and will have a Brass Naginata and a Vulnerary in her inventory.
Mozu is generally a self-conscious girl who is hesitant to try out new things she's not very good at. However, when it comes to areas Mozu is particularly good at she is shown to be blunt and quick to point out the mistakes of others. Despite this however she is a humble person with little interest in wealth and luxuries, much preferring a simple lifestyle. For being a small girl Mozu is actually very physically robust and can handle a lot of heavy lifting, a result of the physical demands of cultivating fields and hunting. Her hunting skills are so good that she once killed a full-sized bear using only a hunting knife. She is also exceptionally skilled at cooking.
Why I like Mozu.
When I first started playing Birthright I was slow to warm up to all the characters, but Mozu was one I immediately liked. From from the first moment I saw her, I knew she was one I wanted to use all the time. Mozu did not disappoint. She is absolutely adorable and I love her. She's also an absolute powerhouse if you take the time to work on her. Even though her Aptitude skill isn't as great as Awakening's version of the skill it is still pretty easy to max out several of her attributes. Honestly, she kicks butt in every save file I have. Of course, that's not the only reason why I love Mozu. She's from a small village and I'm from a small town so in some ways we share a few things in common and I find some things about her so relateable. We're both confident in the things we're good at and super self-conscious in the things we're not so good at. I love how she doesn't give up though and keeps trying. I could stand to learn a few things from Mozu.
